About CLRT Rehab

Dedicated to healing lives through compassionate, evidence-based care

Our Story

Twenty-one years ago, Davis was home to dedicated physicians, counselors, and community organizers who each saw the same gap: people battling addiction were being treated in fragments — a detox here, a therapy session there — with no single place that honored the full complexity of the human experience. A coalition of local healthcare providers, civic leaders, and families who had lived through addiction firsthand came together on 5th St in the heart of Downtown Davis to change that reality.

They pooled expertise, secured funding through community partnerships, and opened the doors of CLRT Rehab with a guiding belief that lasting recovery must nourish mind, body, and spirit in equal measure. From the beginning, the center was designed as a living reflection of that philosophy — treatment rooms alongside yoga studios, clinical offices beside organic gardens, quiet meditation spaces steps away from vibrant group therapy halls.

Over two decades and more than 11,900 patients later, CLRT Rehab remains rooted in the same soil its founders planted. The coalition spirit endures in every care plan our 132-member team creates, in every family we welcome through our doors, and in every life that finds its balance again within these walls.

Our Mission

CLRT Rehab exists to make high-quality, whole-person addiction treatment accessible to every individual who seeks it, regardless of background or circumstance. We believe that healing should never be rationed and that every person deserves a care team that sees them completely — their struggles, their strengths, and their capacity for transformation.

Our commitment to accessible, quality care drives every decision we make, from accepting a wide range of insurance providers to offering sliding-scale options and maintaining a 63-bed facility staffed around the clock. When barriers fall away, people are free to focus on what matters most: rediscovering balance and building a life grounded in wellness.

Treatment Philosophy

Our treatment philosophy rests on three interconnected pillars, each reinforcing the others to create a recovery experience that is both clinically rigorous and deeply human.

  • Nutritional Psychiatry — We treat the gut-brain connection as a clinical priority. Our dietitians and psychiatrists design personalized meal plans that restore neurochemical balance, ease withdrawal symptoms, and build the physical foundation for sustained mental health.
  • Strengths-Based Recovery — Rather than focusing solely on deficits, our clinicians identify and amplify each patient's existing strengths, skills, and sources of motivation. This approach fosters self-efficacy and empowers individuals to become active architects of their own healing.
  • Vocational Rehabilitation — Recovery extends beyond sobriety. Our vocational counselors help patients rebuild professional confidence through resume workshops, job-readiness training, and partnerships with Davis and Sacramento employers, ensuring that life after treatment is purposeful and self-sustaining.
